The short version

  • You can design without an account. Your kits then stay on your phone.
  • With an account, we keep your kits, logos and team details online so they're on every phone and your team can see them.
  • Pictures you share are made on your phone. We don't upload them.
  • We never sell your personal information.
  • You can delete your account in the app at any time. We erase your data within 30 days.

This policy covers the KitStudio app for iPhone and Android and the website kitstudio.app.

1. Who we are

Your photos

KitStudio opens your photo library only when you pick a logo, and uses only the picture you choose. When you save a kit picture, it asks only to add photos. It can't read the ones you have.

Other people's details

When you add players to a team, their names, numbers and sizes are stored with the team. Only add people who are happy to be added. Players who join with the team code can see and change their own details, and the team's creator can remove anyone.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your precise location, your contacts, your card details, or anything from your camera or microphone. Payment details stay with Apple and Google.

3. Why we use it

We only use your data for the reasons in the table above. Under the GDPR and similar laws, our legal reasons are:

  • To provide KitStudio (our contract with you): your account, saving and syncing kits, teams, purchases and support.
  • Our legitimate interests: usage statistics and crash reports to improve the app, keeping it secure and stopping abuse. We keep these to what we need and you can object.
  • Your consent: personalized ads and tracking, notifications and launch emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal duties: keeping purchase records for tax and answering lawful requests.

4. Who we share it with

We use a few companies to run KitStudio. They process data for us under contract and only on our instructions:

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC and Google Ireland): sign-in, database, file storage, usage statistics, crash reports and notifications.
  • Apple and Google: Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, and payments through the App Store and Google Play.
  • RevenueCat, Inc.: keeps track of purchases and subscriptions.
  • Google AdMob: shows ads, when ads are on.
  • [email service]: sends the launch email to people on the list.
  • Cloudflare, Inc.: hosts and delivers kitstudio.app.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (Google LLC and Google Ireland): count visits and clicks on kitstudio.app, with cookies only if you accept them.

Your team sees the team name, the team's kits, everyone's name, number and size, and the votes. Anyone you send a picture or link to sees that kit.

We may also share data if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or if KitStudio is sold or merged, in which case this policy keeps applying.

We don't sell your personal information.

5. Ads and tracking

KitStudio may show ads you choose to watch in exchange for a reward, like trying a Pro pattern. In some countries it may also show a full-screen ad after you save a picture. People with Pro, and the person who bought a Team Pack, don't see ads.

  • On iPhone, we ask before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites. If you say no, ads aren't personalized.
  • In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent to personalized ads. You can change your choice in Profile.
  • On any phone, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the phone's settings.

Saying no doesn't block any feature.

6. Where your data goes

Our service providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries outside yours. When data leaves the European Economic Area, the UK or Türkiye, we rely on the safeguards the law allows, such as adequacy decisions and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account, kits, logos, fonts and teams: while you have an account. When you delete it, we erase them within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days.
  • Kits made as a guest: only on your phone, until you delete them or the app.
  • Usage statistics: 14 months.
  • Crash reports: 90 days.
  • Purchase records: as long as tax law requires.
  • Launch list: until you unsubscribe, or until we send the launch email and close the list.
  • Support emails: up to two years after we last hear from you.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • show you the data we hold about you and send you a copy,
  • correct it,
  • delete it,
  • stop or limit using it, or object to how we use it,
  • give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere.

You can withdraw consent at any time. To delete your account, open Profile and tap Delete account, or follow the steps on our support page. For anything else, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In the EU that is the one in your country, in the UK the ICO, and in Türkiye the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

California residents

You have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We don't sell personal information. You can turn off personalized ads as described in ads and tracking.

9. Children

KitStudio isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. In some countries you need a parent's permission until you are 16. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

10. Security

Data travels encrypted between the app and our servers. Access rules make sure only you can see your account and only your team can see the team's details. Share links contain only a random code, never your name. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you if a breach affects you.

11. This website

kitstudio.app uses Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to count visits, see which pages people read and which ads bring them here, and count taps on the App Store and Google Play buttons. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept cookies for this. Until you accept, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google may still receive a basic signal that the page was visited, without cookies and without anything that identifies you.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The site also remembers your cookie choice and your light or dark choice in your own browser.

If you join the launch list, we keep your email address as described above, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell you in the app before they apply.

13. Contact

For questions about privacy, email [email protected] or write to [Longway Media legal name and address].
